Waretag is designed from the ground up to keep location data private and secure. No location data or location history is physically stored inside Waretag. Communication with the Find My network is end-to-end encrypted so that only the owner of a device has access to its location data, and no one.
If you lose a Waretag, and cannot find its location, you can put the Waretag in the ‘Lost Mode.’ This will create a trigger in Find My network, and in case an Android device comes near to your Waretag, it will relay its location (privately) to your Phone

When the Waretag is within Bluetooth range, users can simply use the Find My app to ring the Waretag which has their own speakers. The sound will help users find the Waretag and hence, their items.
When the Waretag is left in situations where you have no idea where it is, like forgetting your bag on a train, users can place that WareTag in ‘Lost’ mode. This will alert users when the Waretag gets within range while finding it, or even if it is located somewhere else by the Find My network.
When the Waretag is outside the usual Bluetooth range, users can still use the Find My Network to play a sound and/or check the item’s current or last known location on a map. Once within Bluetooth range, users can again use the navigation mode to track their Waretag.
The Waretags feature replaceable CR2032 batteries that can be found for about Rs 30 per piece, claimed that with a fresh battery, a single Waretag will last for about a year.
The entire tracking system is based on an end-to-end encryption that ensures that only the owner of the Waretag knows where it is at all times. Alternatively, if someone finds a lost Waretag, there is nowhere to find out where the Waretag has been.
